What Guests Are Saying
Badin Lake Campground offers a peaceful and scenic environment, making it a great choice for those who enjoy rustic camping and proximity to hiking trails. Many visitors appreciate the quiet atmosphere, clean campsites, and friendly interactions with fellow campers. However, the campground's restroom facilities could use significant improvements, and some sites are closely spaced, impacting privacy. Overall, campers enjoy their experiences but recognize the need for better maintenance in certain areas.

Clean campground. Bathrooms did NOT have toilet paper nor soap. Was not appreciative of ATV's being loaded on a trailer right next to campsites at first light - noise and diesel engines/fumes. There should be a designated area for this activity so not to disrupt other's camping experience. Move them down the road/away from campsites. Could also use more signage on the loops for directions to Kings Mountain Point. Trash cans were still full on Sunday evening after most folks had left that morning. Indicated not attended. Our fire pit was full of ashes. Not sure if that should have been addressed prior to our arrival or not but added to the tasks of getting set up/ready. Tent stakes left in the ground and ended up putting a hole in the one we set up. Not cool. Beautiful area but some things need a little more thought/attention. Thanks!

The sites on the outside of the lower loop are very nice. Especially the ones on the water are perfect. The inside loop however was loud and close together. Good location for hiking, but in hunting season be ready for gunshots in the evening to echo through the area. Scared our dog.

The campground and facilities are nice, and the lakeside sites are beautiful. But because of the national forests off-road vehicle trails we were constantly being disturbed by people reving their engines, unloading their vehicles from trailers after dark, and taking night time joyrides in their load trucks. Won’t be revisiting since I enjoy a more peaceful camping experience. P.S. The 5.6 mile lake trail loop from the campground is great.
