Badin Lake Campground is a hidden treasure in North Carolina; situated just outside of several major metropolitan areas, it offers ample opportunities for outdoor adventurers of any skill level.

The views from Baden Lake campsite were marvelous. The site was well managed and the bathroom kept tidy. Remember you have to pitch your tent on the gravel pad, so don't be deceived by the spacious grassy areas behind the tent pads, the host enforced pitching only on the gravel pad.

We camp at Badin Lake Campground every year in the fall, and it is beautiful. The lake is lovely, and the fall colors are spectacular. There is a loop trail of about 5-6 miles that we hike every year that goes directly through the campground, so is very convenient. The campground itself is very nice, and there is a better level of privacy between campsites than most campgrounds we've been to in the past.
