My friend Sue and I have visited Cataloochee CG three times, and we have never been disappointed! We love the smallness of the campground, and totally enjoy viewing the elk in the evening and going on hikes nearbyβ¦great location and great CG!

Been camping here since I was a child and will as long as I'm able. 2 years in a row now that the week of memorial day had no rain! Yay!

Still my favorite campground in GSMNP. Camp host this 2 weeks of camping was outstanding. Plan your visit and bring everything you will need for the duration of your stay, otherwise a trip to civilization will be needed. As always in the Park's campgrounds, know what poison ivy looks like.
