Great campground! It was beautiful and we were able to see a bull elk with a cow elk right next to the campground. It was quiet and a great spot to enjoy the outdoors!

I've stayed at Cataloochee Campground several times. The hosts are wonderful and the facilities are well maintained. My only issue is that the restrooms aren't restricted to campers only, which causes lines for campers waiting behind day visitors.

The long, winding road to the campground was well travelled and maintained. The campground sites are large and treed, with a beautiful creek nearby. The bathrooms were spacious and well lit. The dishwashing area was helpful. The historic church and buildings were charming. We saw so many elk! The fields and bridges over the creek were very picturesque. It was a great experience. We’re so glad we stayed at Cataloochee campground.
