Enjoyed the stay overall. This site is on a hill until you are parked. Once you are in the site, very private and great for our dogs. We did have cell service so that was good. The roads were in ill repair going into the camp sites.

Park staff and Park Rangers we're very friendly and helpful. Check in process was super easy. Everyone had a great time. There was a sandy volleyball court, playground, and bathroom/ shower house right beside the shelter. Ample parking and a swimming area just below the shelter. This is our go to destination in the summer. We usually camp at this park but with work schedules we were only able to go for a day trip for my son's birthday. Always a great trip.

We love Fort Hamby. The sites are well maintained and most are level. The sites are far enough apart that you aren’t on top of each other. The bathhouse has been clean each time we have stayed there.
