I wish the NFS would design sites and campgrounds more welcoming to tent camping. RVers do not care about distance to car, water, or privacy. Our site was otherwise ok, w highlight of great views.

Scenic, clean, quiet, large sites, vault toilets clean, minutes from TRNP. Met our needs perfectly.

Site was level and well maintained. Water spigot was a little far to get to from the park roads and there were a lot of flies. Great experience all around though. Kids had fun fishing and there's a good distance paved trail path around the lake for a good relaxing walk. Bathhouse is not new but clean. Dump station is well positioned just outside the campground entrance and also clean.

Voltage at service box was borderline high at 131v. My surge protector cut the power several times during the night meaning that the voltage rose above 132 for limited periods. I ended up just turning off the power.

The site was beautiful but the flies were so bad, we left after a few hours. You could not cook with the amount of flies, you could not sit outside, even getting into your car hundreds of flies would get in. If there were not flies it would be a great place to stay.

What a great campground! Just 1/4 mile from the Theodore Rosevelt - North Unit Park entrance, it has everything! Water, clean pit toilets, electric, and views of the park. I was there over a weekend in Aug and the campground was only 1/3 full. Highly recommend!
