We enjoyed our stay at Arrowhead Campground. Our site was great and the bathhouse was clean. We hiked part of the Badin Lake trail. Which needs some maintenance, it looks like storms went through and felled quite a few trees that had to be climbed over or detoured around. From our neighboring campers it was obvious that this is a favorite location for those who like to travel the off road trail system in the Uwharrie Forest with their Jeeps! Badin Lake and the boat ramp is a short walk from the campground, when we camp there again it would be great to bring kayaks!

The camp host was a little to pushy. Seemed to over use any authority she has there. Have been camping there for years and this host is just not pleasant.

Campground was very well maintained and the bathhouse was clean. The site we had was wooded and had some prvacy, it was really nice! We took the hiking trail around the lake, alot to see.

All was great but we rented a place for a tent site and we have a large 10 man tent so we had a hard time putting it up because it was asphalt. We will rent a double site from now on but didn’t know it was our first time here.We love the area and will definitely come back

The campground itself was nice but the Camp host and her husband were absolutely terrible. They accused us of drinking, followed my girlfriend and I around the campground and parked outside our site as a form of intimidation.
The husband represented himself to be a Park Ranger but finally backed down when we asked for a badge and evidence that he was licensed to carry a firearm in the campground.
They were miserable Hosts and their campsite was trashed. Also, they have 2 dogs they keep in a small shed on the property. We never saw them let the dogs out. It's sad.
Will never go back to this campground.

Bring a blower and a shovel. The fire pits are not well taken care of, overflowing and the sites are a mess with leaves and sticks. Also bring cleaning supplies. The bath house is not as well cared for as it has been in past yrs. I have always chosen this camp ground for my many Jeep adventures to URE but this trip has made me consider other options. The Bath House wasn’t cleaned for the 4 days I stayed and was extremely dirty and showers had mold sand and mug throughout, Toilets looked even worse. I hate it because it usually is extremely well maintained. The site hosts were a bit overbearing and stern. Not very friendly
