We wanted to stay for one night (Saturday), but had to make a three day reservation because it was Columbus Day weekend. There were over 50% of the sites available, and the weekend had already started. Although I understand the policy for advance reservations, once the weekend has started, the requirement should be dropped. We made the 3-day reservation after arrival and talking to the campground hosts, who could not help us with a single night. They even called someone at Recreation.gov who could not override the system. Anyway, the campground hosts were great! And we enjoyed our one night.

This was a beautiful lake and the campsite are very nice and spacious. This place is very well taken care of and the camp host was warm and inviting. We had a peaceful and relaxing time . We have decided that this is our favorite place and will be going back for many more times to come.

We stay at Big Bend Campground several times each year. Each time is equally relaxing and enjoyable. The boat ramps are good. Campgrounds are clean. Each site has adequate room. On our last visit, I needed hardware for some repairs. The General store in Canton is well supplied and very helpful.

Camp Host was outstanding and friendly. The space could stand some tree trimming and Yard grooming, but for the price I paid was great compared to other Oklahoma State RV Parks I have stayed in. Thanks for providing the things for a relaxing week-end.

We love to camp and fish at Great Bend Recreation Area. Nice shady camp sites and well maintained sites as well as boat ramp/dock area.
