What Guests Are Saying
Big Bend offers a spacious and peaceful camping experience with well-maintained sites, many shaded areas, and a nice restaurant at the dam. Reviewers appreciated the friendly staff and clean facilities, with many expressing a desire to return. However, some noted issues with overgrown grass and stickers, which could make it difficult for pets and outdoor activities.

Camp sites were clean and the grounds taken care of. The camp hosts were very helpful. I've been going to Canton lake several times a year since 1996, yes even through the drought years.

We love big bend! We love the camp host as well! The only downfall is the grass needs more up keep and the trees need trimmed around the campsites. They are to low in spots and can rub on campers.

The large cotton tree, and the water leak made the trip a little less enjoyable. However we have plans to return in September, and now know not to book the spots we had last.

Camping was great except the area was in need of mowing. Stickers and gophers are terrible. Camp hosts very helpful

Was told not to park on grass, yet many sites around ours had cars parked on grass. Double standard! Couldn’t take our kids to beach because there were many boats parked over there with many people taking over the whole area.
