What Guests Are Saying
Washington Irving South offers a beautiful and peaceful campground with great views of the lake, clean facilities, and friendly staff. Many visitors appreciate the spacious sites, hiking trails, and proximity to Tulsa. However, some areas, particularly the restrooms and older sites, need maintenance and improvement, and there are concerns about sandburs affecting outdoor activities. Overall, guests express a desire to return despite some shortcomings.

Staying at WIS was such a great experience for our family. We loved camping, and our “neighbors” made our trip all the more enjoyable! The scenery is beautiful, and the facilities were well maintained!

We had an excellent time.... sure wish they would finish the sites that flooded , it really takes away from the park. they were the best sites there.

A good campground for kayaking, fishing, one short walking trail which is nice. Site 9 is a bit difficult to back into as it is uphill and only gravel.

Sites and staff were great. We enjoyed it greatly in spite of ongoing damage repairs from last years flooding to parts of park.

Nice campground. We stayed in spot #2. The electrical box and water were on the right side of the site which made it a little awkward. All the water looked to be shared so bring an extra long hose. Camp hosts were nice and there is a nice little park near the water.
