What Guests Are Saying
Hawthorn Bluff offers a peaceful camping experience with beautiful lake views, well-maintained trails, and clean facilities, making it a popular choice for families and groups. While some RV sites are not level and certain amenities like hot water and flushing toilets experienced issues, the friendly staff and clean environment contribute positively to visitors' experiences. Overall, guests appreciate the campground's serene atmosphere and accessibility to nearby attractions, despite occasional maintenance concerns.

These comments are relative to the RV campsite. Hawthorne Bluff is a very nice campsite. There are many water front sites and also sites which are more secluded. The rest rooms are cleaned regularly. Fellow campers are typically friendly and quiet during sleeping hours. There are hiking trails very close to the camp sites. There is also a nice fishing dock within the camp site area. Most of the sites do not have a water hook up, but there are water sources within the camp site. The sites do have electric hook ups. We made a 2nd visit during the fall. We hope to be back in the spring of 2020.

This is a beautiful; serene, and relaxing camping place. It is within two miles of Will Rogers boyhood home.
The campgrounds are ver family-friendly, and all the attendants are friendly and helpful.
I have stayed at the campsite several times, and have no hesitation in recommending it.

Great campground, nice staff and adjacent to lake. Stayed several times last year and enjoyed every time. Suitable for children as well.

Park attendants are very nice people and we look forward to seeing them each time. Park is clean with beautiful lake views. Campsites are good size and water is easy to access. One thing happened this past fall - a campsite electricity was out and the host placed an orange cone on it to "decommission it". It was next to our site so we just set up a few chairs on it and the Camp Host told us we couldn't sit on it without paying an additional night's rental and made us move 6 feet. It was weird and unfriendly but was the first time that had happened.
