All the camp hosts are very friendly, really clean rest rooms clean camp sites just an all around great place to camp that’s why the family and I camp at Hawthorne a minimum of 6 times through out the camping season.

The campground is beautiful, staff was friendly, and the only issue is that there is not water at every site. You have to fill your freshwater tank when you enter. The toilets and bath house are clean and good quality. I will go back but with several gallons of spring water to use inside the RV.

We always enjoy Hawthorne. It is a very nice campground. Love the views if you can get on the lake side.

The person at gate was very helpful, getting a camping spot was all new to me, she guided me through the computer part of it and even called ranger for more help, and finally it was completed and I had a reservation. Thanks everyone for assistance!!!

Our site was right on the water. Despite the hot temps it was such a relaxing spot. Can't wait to return.
