About Brush Creek Public Use Area

Brush Creek is located downstream of Keystone Dam, just 10 minutes from Tulsa, Oklahoma. This park features campground provided activities such as horseshoes, cornholes, a basketball court, a sand volleyball court, a mile-long fitness trail, and quick access to nearby multi-purpose trails. This is a popular destination for fishermen as they have the ability to cross along the pedestrian bridge from the campground to the fishing berm below the dam. In additon to fishing, this area offers prime opportunities to observe multiple wildlife species.  Please note when camping here, while typically quiet, water releases from the dam are preceded by several warning signals from a horn. This is a brief safety measure for anyone in or near the water below the dam, and there is no danger to the campground.

Very nice campground with a great walking trail, basketball court and exercise stations. No boat access but fishing is available below the dam.

Really nice campground. Fairly quite. Could faintly hear the train across the river at night, the OHV area across the river on the weekends, and the dam horns in the morning (to be expected near a dam!). The spaces were large, especially the gravel parking spots so we didn't have to step out of the RV onto grass or dirt/mud, or squeeze round the car trailer (we usually have to park if in front of the motorhome because of the location of the electricity pedestal and RV cord length. Lots of new paving for trails adjacent to the camping area, I'm sure due to flooding a few years ago. And, based on recent grading, appears that more improvements are to come.

We enjoyed this campground. The host was very nice and friendly. We enjoyed the 1 mile walking path and look forward to the pond and pavilions being completed. The bathrooms could use some updating - there was no hand dryer. No soap either, but we've seen this before at COE campgrounds. The sewer hookup on site 3 was wonky. There was a white tube we had to brace up with five rocks to stabilize the connection, so I would pick a different site. Hopefully, this will get fixed. There are a number of things to do in the area, including "The Gathering Place" in Tulsa. There is a 2 mile path to hike across from the campground, but it had rained earlier and was cold, so we didn't actually hike it. The campground is close to Sand Springs which is convenient for any shopping. We would camp at Brush Creek again.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Nice, quiet and small campground. The bathrooms are not great, but if you have a bathroom in your camper, that's no problem. They have a great, paved mile loop at the campground and a hiking trail just across the road. I would stay here again in a heart beat.
