Sheppard Point is a beautiful, clean, and well-maintained campground, offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere with friendly staff dedicated to enhancing visitors' experiences. Many guests appreciate the quiet environment, scenic views of the lake, and positive interactions with hosts like Bob and Fran. Really enjoyed our stay here. Very peaceful, beautiful sunsets. The three geese people have talked about greeted us and hung around but we left each other alone, no problem. It would be nice if it was posted here about the water being turned off but it’s posted at the campground and we already knew so we filled up at the spigot when we arrived. The volunteer made sure we knew about the water and the geese when we arrived. I see that site 20 is listed as available but it has no power and there’s nothing on site saying so.

Camping here in December before Christmas was a peaceful little getaway. There were not very many people there, the campground was clean, and the views of the sunset and sunrise were awesome!

Had a couple issues this trip, the site we reserved had no power at the box but we just found a different empty spot that the power was on. Second no mention at reservation time on line about the water and bathrooms etc being shut down for the season. Only a note at the gate. I know it’s fall but no below freezing weather yet.. anyhow maybe having that stated before reserving or even a little cheaper rate since we don’t get the same amenities as the summer for the same price.. other than that we like this place a lot. It is a clean and nice area for camping, fishing, hunting and more.

Bathrooms needed tending. And no camp manager on site. Otherwise beautiful spot.
