What Guests Are Saying
Black Canyon Campground offers a beautiful setting beside a glacier-fed river, providing a cool swimming area during hot summer days. The campground is well-maintained, with clean facilities and friendly hosts, ensuring a pleasant experience. However, visitors should be aware of the nearby train and highway noise, which can be disruptive at times, especially at night.

The site was cleaned and ready upon my arrival. The table could have used a wipe down in spots however. Trash cans are no longer provided by the facility so plan for that. The river access is wonderful. The hosts were friendly and helpful.

We always have a wonderful time at Black Canyon. We go every year to double site #40. Great site, lots of privacy, room to move around in. This campground always has the cleanest vault toilets. Hosts do a great job, all toilets had hand sanitizer and smelled CLEAN. Great campground for families, so many sites along the river. Great location for exploring the area. 10/10 recommend. Rangers are great too!

For 2 of us, this site was perfect.
Riverside, clean, pretty spacious, table & fire pit included, half sun half shade.
Downfall: near the main road (traffic noise) & train noise. If you are a light sleeper or looking for a quieter site, this probably will not be for you. *There are other sites away from traffic noise & train.
Overall campground was great.
Hosts were nice, place was clean, bathrooms were clean & did not stink, it was quiet (didn't experience drunkin parties), river was nice during hot weather (but current was still pretty strong). Fishing wasn't the best for us (no live bait, only flies & lures).

Nice, convenient campground with beautiful trees and a nice river that is not good for swimming. There are regular trains passing nearby so there is a bit of extra noise to deal with. Camp hosts were exceptional and the bathrooms were very clean.
