What Guests Are Saying

Sutton Campground offers a peaceful and well-maintained environment, with clean restrooms and attentive hosts. Many visitors appreciate the spacious, private campsites and the accessibility of nearby hiking trails. However, some guests find the pricing a bit high compared to nearby campgrounds with more amenities, and there are concerns about tree maintenance affecting RV access. Overall, the campground is favored for its tranquility and cleanliness, making it a great base for exploring the surrounding area.

The park is well tree'd and very quiet. The park hosts are friendly and thoughtful. The bathrooms are clean. Unfortunately, the weather was rainy and cold during our visit. We still really enjoyed the peacefulness of this location. It felt safe and I didn't worry about "weirdos" or spring break partiers bothering my family. Overall, great experience, especially the quietness of the outdoors.

Once again I was misled by the sizes listed of the spaces. When I got there, there was no way that my 39' toy hauler was going to fit in the spot I had reserved. This also happened to me in January. I went and talked to the camp host who was very helpful. He had a first come first serve site that only had electricity that it fit in. I gladly took it. When I went on this site to cancel the other site, I was charged for the first night for the other site. There was no place to explain what happened or why I was canceling. I decided to just say to heck with it and eat that first night. Once I got settled, the rest of my stay wasn't too bad.

The campground is clean, including the restrooms. Fire wood is available at the campground at a price comparable or better than stores in the area. The campsites are spread out for the most part, though a few are right next to each other, so good for a larger group. The largest site, which fits 30 people, is beautiful, with a large grass field and several parking spots. The hosts are friendly, helpful, and familiar with the area.

we enjoyed our stay. The only thing that would make it better is if there were more sites with hook ups

The camp host are very nice and helpful. The restrooms were very clean. There is only one 30-amp plug for the electrical, so bring a plug converter if you plan on normal 15-amp plug type.

we had issues with the electrical supply-the circuit breaker(30A) was tripping at about 27-30 amps. The host traded out the breaker with one from another site but we still had the same problem. He found that the wire to the breaker was pretty corroded. We did some load shedding to keep the power on. Also the receptacle's tension was poor as I had to secure the plug to keep it form falling out. it seems to me that the electrical system could use some maintenance/upgrade.
Otherwise had a really nice time as always.

Hosts are great, felt really bad for them as there were a couple nasty campers who left garbage littered all thru one site and then ours has an immense amount of dog poo. The trip was very cold at night but days were great. Its our go to for winter camping
