What Guests Are Saying
Kinnikinnick Campground offers a beautiful setting by Laurance Lake, with well-maintained sites and friendly camp host Cindy, who is consistently praised for her helpfulness. Many visitors appreciate the clean facilities, great swimming and boating opportunities, and scenic views of Mt. Hood. Some concerns include limited privacy and a rough access road, but overall, the campground provides a pleasant experience for families and nature lovers.

Overall stay was fairly good. Was not aware through the site of multiple rules. My reservation stated I was also allowed two cars (no prompt of extra fee) and camp host notified us that there was a fee. Loved how site 016 was close to the lake, but did not like how strict it was at times.

2nd time staying here this summer, this time was much quieter, campground about half full and everyone was quiet at night, day use wasn't very busy I would think its because of the bad road. The one bad thing was we had to clean up from the previous campers, ( no camp host) there was food left all over, strawberries , cherries, piles of cooked rice, and a busted up watermelon. Huge yellow jacket attraction! There is dumpsters! Camp host comes from Lost Lake a few times a day.

The camp host David and Park Ranger Steve were friendly and helpful. Site 001 was beautiful and had easy access to the lake that was just stunning! What was unbeknownst to us and were not included in other reviews, is that there is a path very near our campsite that led to a small beach next to our campsite and MOST of the day users parked by our campsite and accessed the path to the beach. They were loud and obnoxious till 8:30pm when they left.
It really is a beautiful campsite but having day users walk back and forth so close to our campsite makes me think twice of choosing campsite 001 and will choose another site away from day users.
The dirt road to the campground was a treacherous at some places. Check campground for alerts before arrival.
The lake again was beautiful and the campground a gem.

The campsites are mostly walk in but they are pretty well spaced out. The camp site attendant is fairly strict so follow the rules :). The lake is beautiful but it gets windy mid day so do water activities in the morning.

Can't give 5 stars because of how busy the boat launch/day use area gets, people start driving in right at daylight ( right along this site) and by afternoon its packed. At one point two different stereos were blaring! Campsite itself is great, roomy with lots of shade and a view of the lake, its one of the few you can actually park at. We fit 3 tents in the site, but only 1 was flat. Also the trail to other campsites is right along side. 2 of the days were hot so lake was great for paddle boarding, and then it got windy, real windy in camp too. Nights were good, after all the day use people left. The camp host is great!
