What Guests Are Saying
Lost Lake Resort and Campground offers a beautiful natural setting with scenic lake views, spacious campsites, and a friendly atmosphere. Many visitors appreciate the well-maintained grounds, good fishing, and nearby hiking trails, as well as the convenience of on-site amenities like a store and boat rentals. However, the campground can be busy, especially on weekends, leading to noise and crowding issues, and some facilities, like bathrooms, may need more attention. Overall, it's a cherished spot for many returning campers.

Always enjoy our stay-the staff were quick and friendly about cutting up a tree in our camp site

My husband and I decided that the walk-in sites were too arduous, and the staff person was very helpful in suggesting a first-come, first-serve site, which worked out fine. My only complaint is that there was a lot of litter. Certainly, this is the fault of the people responsible for not cleaning up after themselves, but I think Lost Lake needs to take a more proactive approach to getting it cleaned up. I volunteered, and the staff gave me a large trash bag, which I had to empty twice.

Lost Lake is the cleanest, best camping spot on Mt. Hood.

Very beautiful campground and lake. Great for biking and Kayaking. It's pretty expensive for a federal campground and there are no hookups for motorhomes. The group camps can be fairly loud as well. I do plan to visit again.

I stayed at campsite B014 and it was perfect. Very private so you felt nicely secluded even though there were groups at the surrounding sites. Pit toilets were well kept and there are showers available through the general store. No cell service but who needs it with the lake/mt hood views!

Great place. Host was super friendly. The shelter area and the bathrooms were really clean.
The shelter has a electric stove and 2 sinks which came out handy. The fireplace was a great plus.

I really wish Lost Lake hadn't been taken over by new management. I've been enjoying going for almost 35 years, and while the place holds a special place in my heart, it is just not the same.

I loved the boat rental and lake. I didn’t know it was such a hilly campground and made it difficult for me to get around because of my mobility issues. Otherwise it was fantastic.

We had so much fun a couple of weeks ago. Being the end of May, it was cold, windy, and rainy off and on but we came prepared. We found there was plenty of room for a few tents per site and liked that the tent pads weren't right next to the picnic table. Everything was clean and bathrooms and water super accessible. Camp hosts were awesome.
The lake was a short walk from both site 1 and site 2 (close enough to carry a SUP), and the boardwalk made the lake front walk super easy. A few of us took the full circle around the lake and ran into some mud and snow but it was a fun adventure.
It was an all-around great trip!
