What Guests Are Saying
Lost Lake Resort and Campground offers a beautiful natural setting with scenic lake views, spacious campsites, and a friendly atmosphere. Many visitors appreciate the well-maintained grounds, good fishing, and nearby hiking trails, as well as the convenience of on-site amenities like a store and boat rentals. However, the campground can be busy, especially on weekends, leading to noise and crowding issues, and some facilities, like bathrooms, may need more attention. Overall, it's a cherished spot for many returning campers.

We did not stay at Lost Lake due to the wind and rain storm that blew in just as we were setting up camp. One of our canopy legs broke after the wind carried it off while it was being staked to the ground. Not to mention our campsites were flooded on the lower plateaus due to all the rain that had fallen prior to our arrival. No staff were available to assist us or accommodate us since we could not stay at our campsites. The resort was closed. So after driving all the way there the afternoon of October 11, we spent two hours attempting to set up camp and determined the weather was too stormy to try further. So we returned home. I would appreciate a refund since we were unable (understandably) to keep our reservation. Mind you, this was no one's fault. We'd been watching the weather and did not see the windstorm in the forecast for Lost Lake.

Very beautiful campground. Campsites are positioned well enough from other sites where you have privacy amongst the trees.

Not our usual experience at Lost Lake. Frontline customer service is poor, and prices are high. If you charge premium prices you have to provide a premium experience.

We arrived after checking Facebook for up to date info. No information was offered at the front gate. When we got near our spot, another camper told us “they’re closing tomorrow at 8am” and drove off. No one else in the campground had heard. We had to go to the store to hear that yes, the forest was closing and we would be forced to leave first thing in the morning. While the circumstances were exceptional, the fact that there was no posted information anywhere — at the very least at the gates — was shocking and irresponsible. We ended up paying for that night despite leaving because of the high wind warning and the fact that we’d have to pack up by 7am. It was dangerous and irresponsible, even under the extreme circumstances.

Great Lake. Peaceful and beautiful.
D loop Rv sites can be a little tight for 28’ or longer travel trailers. Sites aren’t level.
Still plan to return!!

Perhaps the best campground we’ve stayed at in our two year experience with our trailer! We will try to get site B015 again - great pull-through, two tent pads, lots of space, lots of privacy (couldn’t even see neighbors). It’s dry camping, but pit toilets weren’t far away. You can fill up your fresh water tank as soon as you arrive; take the first right after the entrance kiosk to the dump station - there’s a fresh water hookup there. There are water spigots in the campground but you wouldn’t want to use those to fill up that fresh water tank - unless you like pouring five gallons in at a time - use the hose at the dump/water station. Nice general store and watercraft (canoes, row boats, kayaks, paddle boards) rentals at the waterfront. Be sure to take the hike around the lake! We certainly recommend this campground and we’ll be back!

The camping spot was wonderful. It was a short walk to the general store and lake. We were able to get a day use spot to have lunch and play in the lake. I’m excited to come back next year.
