What Guests Are Saying
Lost Lake Resort and Campground offers a beautiful natural setting with scenic lake views, spacious campsites, and a friendly atmosphere. Many visitors appreciate the well-maintained grounds, good fishing, and nearby hiking trails, as well as the convenience of on-site amenities like a store and boat rentals. However, the campground can be busy, especially on weekends, leading to noise and crowding issues, and some facilities, like bathrooms, may need more attention. Overall, it's a cherished spot for many returning campers.

During this COVID year of 2020 we found the facility practicing good social distancing protocols with few exceptions. Sometimes there were too many people in the store. Generally the camp was in great shape, the staff was friendly. There was WAY too much trash everywhere and it wasn't being picked up frequently enough. Every dumpster was full and the recycling areas were also full. Some pot holes in roads within the resort. The snack bar should be open every day.

Beautiful! Super clean place, well spaced campsites. Lake is incredible. Everyone who worked there was very helpful and kind. Loved it!

The drive in is long, curvey and narrow but absolutely worth it! Beautiful, well maintained campground full of activities and friendly staff, the lake is absolutely beautiful and kyaking is a must with the views of MT Hood! VERY QUIET and peaceful at night with great stargazing. Will be back and can't wait to visit again!

Very clean, loved the hiking nearby and the lake was amazing. Privacy if you need. Wish there wasn’t a fire ban but enjoyed it all the same

Waiting until check in to notify us that camp fires are banned is a poor way to keep your revenue generated. We would have canceled our trip if we were told before our 3 hour drive to our overpriced campsite. If I booked a hotel, I wouldn't want to be informed upon arrival that my paid for room didn't have water. This is the same principle. If I pay a fee for the privilege of making a required online reservation, you should use the email you were provided to notify paying customers the services paid for have changed after payment received. Poorly managed campground. No communication.

It was ridiculously crowded on Sunday. On Monday, my daughter and I extensively cleaned three waterfront sites FULL of trash. It was unbelievable that anyone would leave so much trash, plastic, beer cans, balloons, etc. at the beautiful lake. But we had a wonderful day on the water on Monday and the campsite was very nice both days. The staff was polite and they took precautions to prevent the spread of Covid.

Really pretty campsites nestled in to the forest. Large sites with lots of room to roam. The lake is BUSY and we avoided the significant crowds by visiting it early in the morning and in the evening.

The outhouses were very stinky on Monday and Tuesday.

My husband and I camped in site C 8. The site was very nicely laid out but is a bit of a hike down to the lake. We hiked the Lost Lake Butte trail and struggled with the elevation gain of 1,400 feet but we just took it slow and made it to the top. The view of Mt. Hood from the top is pretty amazing. We rented a double kayak one afternoon...you will get wet as the kayak has drain holes and is low to the water. The north day use area has great views of Mt. Hood, but fills up quickly. In the evening we drove to the furthest parking area in the north day use lot to take pictures of the alpine glow on the mountain. We enjoyed exploring the old growth trail and the lake shore trail as well. There was so much to see and do. We will definitely be back.
