Great location. Close to water. Close to drinkable water and bathrooms. Sites were pretty close to the road and the road has a lot of speed bumps so you basically listen to campers bottoming out all weekend. The Pit toilets were super full so that was kind of gross. On day 1 it rained pretty good and one of friends tent leaked bad. Her stuff was soaked. It was supposed to be freezing that night, so we went to the front desk to see if we could use the on-site washer and dryer. It’s not for the campground, but there is a resort there. They said housekeeping was using it but to come back later in the day. so we came back later in the day and they changed their mind and said we could not use it which totally screwed us because the laundromat Hood River was closed by then. Wish the customer service hadn’t sucked so bad! It’s great to have a general store that serves beer and ice cream. The lake is beautiful. Great spot for hammocks. And renting a row boat is pretty cool too. also highly recommend walking the loop around the lake. Wish we got to hike the Butte, but there was still snow on the ground… next time!

The Lost Lake Loop Trail is either seasonal or the map is not very clear. In May, we had to turn around 2/3 of the way into it, as the trail seemed to lead to underwater. The lake was beautiful and can't complain about much more than the trail. We were there for a big rain storm, which no one can control. But that's the main reason for the experience rating.

Between 3 different people and 3 different bookings we always get double booked with someone and end up either not getting the site we chose or having to cancel. This stay however the Camp staff were very understanding and helped us with yet another double booking we ended up keeping our site. Great site not really the most comfortable as it is littered with gravel and fallen rotten tree right through the middle, fire pit that hadn’t been cleaned in awhile. I would not recommend this site per se but I would recommend this campground. Just make sure you call 2-3 times to make sure they didn’t double book you.

Almost no privacy between sites and other visitors were running their generators at all times, hard to enjoy nature :/
No path to walk from campsite to the lake and hiking trails. Didn't feel safe walking along the road with cars
