The location is surprisingly good! We blindly went into this reservation since the website (Reservation .gov) didn't provide a campground layout. The welcoming could use some work. My sister was greeted with, "Can I help you?". Like a security guard at a clothing store in a mall. Hosts please try, "Hello, how are you? Welcome. Do you have a reservation?". Then the husband came out and asked similar questions. We of course, went along. I think there are 19 sites total (two removed due to people or river erosion?). So, considerably small and quiet compared to the other spots around Mt. Hood.
Cons:
-No site map online when booking, but that did add to the adventure!
-We arrived during the first week of fire restrictions, so the area had extremely fine dust throughout the campground and roads. Could be a problem for people with respiratory problems.
- Camp host have a gas (or propane) powered golf cart. It's not loud, but it's definitely unnecessary noise in a campground at Mt. Hood in Oregon. Plus, it's a small campground.
- No cell phone service within 7 miles each way along the hwy (or Tamanawas Falls). I add this because we couldn't plan next days adventures. Oh well! Me and my sis had two different carriers.
Pros:
- Spacious camp sites. Tent spots. Fire pits/grills
- Trees to hang hammocks
- Quiet
- Clean elevated toilets
- Creek access from most sites. If not, you can find a trail with no problem.
- Close to Government Camp for (possibly expensive) supplies.
- Small campground with little traffic/noise
We were in site 010 which is adjacent to the host. They do temporarily run a generator until 10pm, then fire it back up at 8am. Not much louder than the creek 100 feet away. It was fine I guess. But, what are they powering for so long!?!?

The host was terrific. Sites are mostly extremly spacious and on the water. Rvs are fine but dry camping and dont forget to bring your own water. The river is cooling during the heat and sounds nice. Can be dusty and be sure to drive 5mph. There wasnt much trails to be had around the campground but we just walked to whole grounds a few times a day. Oh the sites do have sand as well as the river. We would definitely go again

Really enjoyed this camp ground. Most sites are very large and have access to the river. Pretty quiet except for the sound of the river. This is a volcanic area obviously with Mount Hood nearby so the dirt is very fine and dusty. Well worth a little dust for a great campground.

Great campgrounds. Close to endless hiking and exploring options around Mt. Hood, and very spacious campsites, many of which have a river running through them. Campsites 7 and 8 are particularly private and luxurious.
