What Guests Are Saying
Aspen Point at Lake of the Woods offers a beautiful and well-maintained campground with spacious, private sites, excellent lake access, and friendly hosts. Many visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and the opportunity for outdoor activities, such as biking and kayaking. However, there are consistent complaints about the outdated and poorly maintained restroom facilities, as well as noise issues during peak times, which detracts from the overall experience.

The loveliest camping settings I've seen (except one in Squamish, B.C.) and the camp hosts are accessible and VERY helpful!

The Lake of the Woods campground is a lovely, wooded campground with spacious, private sites. One night, we had dinner at the pizza place. The pizza was a 5-Star-plus pizza, and we enjoyed eating it on the deck next to the lake. I wished we had brought our bikes to ride along the wide and flat 12-mile path that extends from the campgrounds on Lake of the Woods to Fish Lake. Boating of all sizes is a popular activity.

Camp host was very friendly and helpful. Beautiful grounds, lake and total area. The only thing that I would have a an improvement suggestion on is to upgrade the bathrooms to where there is more than one toilet available.

Bathrooms were in terrible condition even catching on fire!!! They need updating over 50 years old. Dangerous!!! We couldn’t have campfires but the bathroom could catch on fire. Actually it happened in another bathroom days before. Campsites smell of sewage!! Especially 26 27 and 28. I think they are on the drain field and the septic tank is overwhelmed!!! The lodge food and service are terrible. So disappointing I have be going there for over 50 years. Really going down hill. So sad and scary. It they don’t replace restrooms and electrical the forest may not be there for future generations. Someone please help!!!
