What Guests Are Saying
Aspen Point at Lake of the Woods offers a beautiful and well-maintained campground with spacious, private sites, excellent lake access, and friendly hosts. Many visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and the opportunity for outdoor activities, such as biking and kayaking. However, there are consistent complaints about the outdated and poorly maintained restroom facilities, as well as noise issues during peak times, which detracts from the overall experience.

Site 3 was good., close to water. Like that you can walk to marina. Only real problem is the bathrooms were disgusting.

sites were well maintained, we went during the week days so we did not get to experience music at the lodge. You must go to lake and relax, it was very refreshing

We bought our granddaughters for a three night camping trip with our trailer. We had a great time riding bikes, playing in the water, paddle boarding and having a campfire in the evening. Our only real complaint would be the restroom. The cleaning seems to be done fairly superficially. Going through the motions so they could say they did it. One morning the female worker was talking on her cell phone while working and weed me out of the way. There was a fairly large spider web, spider included, that was not a good thing for our young granddaughters. Perhaps a little more effort during especially cleaning so it smells like it. The restroom was just below our #45 site and the left hand sink, or the sink on the east wall, was plugged the entire time as well. We really love the lake nonetheless!

We camped at Aspen June 16th-19th in spot #33. And our experience was very poor due to the camp host who's name is Rich. The very first day when we arrived and were setting up our trailer Rich came by and told me that I was not fully parked in our spot. I told him I would move as soon as I get the camper disconnected. He went on his way. Then came back an hour later and I had the vehicle moved and asked him if the spot was ok. And he said yes it is. The next day he came by and was asking if we had paid for the additional vehicle. And I said yes the pass is in the window. He left and came back a half hour later drove his golf cart right into the middle of our camp and angrily and rudely said. I thought I asked you to move that vehicle. And I explained to him that I did and just the day before he said it was fine. He looked at it again and said oh yeah that's right. Then he left again. And came back literally 10 minutes later. And yelled at me from the road to come see him. So I walked up to him and he showed me that I was still slightly outside of the planted logs. So I bit my tongue and said ok I will move it again. And then after that he said it was ok once again. Then the last night we were there we had issues with my dad's cpap breathing machine battery back-up and had to run the generator to keep it going. And it is a brand new honda eu2200i whisper quiet and figured it would not be a huge deal because the people across from us had been running their generator till 1 and 2 in the morning. And there's was loud. But Rich showed up at the trailer door at 10:05 and said we had to turn the generator off. I explained why it was still running and he didn't care. Said it had to be turned off. So I pointed out the the people across the street still had there's running and he said. Thats not my problem. So we turned off the generator and my dad got no sleep that night. And I found out the following day as we were packing up after talking to a different camp host. That our
