What Guests Are Saying
Aspen Point at Lake of the Woods offers a beautiful and well-maintained campground with spacious, private sites, excellent lake access, and friendly hosts. Many visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and the opportunity for outdoor activities, such as biking and kayaking. However, there are consistent complaints about the outdated and poorly maintained restroom facilities, as well as noise issues during peak times, which detracts from the overall experience.

Always so nice and peaceful. One thing we noticed this year was that the bathroom where not clean at all. Other year they are.

This is a beautiful setting. However, the bathrooms are atrocious! There was no soap, toilet paper ran out, the floor was not swept or mopped in the three days we were there. My husband said the men's bathroom floor was sticky from urine! My granddaughter cut her arm on the metal sharp-edged box the toilet paper was in. The shower building was even worse! There was 2 inches of standing water and frogs!

The site upon arrival had garbage all over it. During our stay the bathrooms were so disgusting that we could not even walk in them they had not been cleaned or taking care of. No TP. Loud music that could be heard from one end of the campground to the other

Love this campground! However I was very disappointed with the bathrooms, specifically the shower bathroom. It was never cleaned and there were so so many spiders. It was worse than a truck stop bathroom. Other than that, the rest the campground was clean, fairly quiet and was an overall great trip for our family

I love lake of the woods and come multiple times a year since I live so close. I’ve camped and sunset, rainbow and aspen. This last site 023 was beautiful and spacious, very close to the water and we loved it. Only down falls where the bathroom and parking. We had to wait for day use people to leave so we could park our cars for the night even though it’s posted no day use. Clearly no one is enforcing that. And the bathrooms were conveniently located directly across from our site, inconveniently disgusting. The men’s bathroom had one stall and one in ground urinal that reeked of urine. The ones bathroom had one sink and full of spiders. We had to drive to rainbow bay each time to use the bathroom as they are WAY cleaner at rainbow and sunset. Overall we love lake of the woods. We just will camp at sunset from now on.

Campsite 3 is large, relatively level, and not too close to other sites. The fire pit is kind of strange being almost at ground level. It is a very easy walk to the lake. The lake is beautiful and very relieving when it is hot at the campsite. I spent most of the time next to, or in, the lake. There are many trails that are nice and mostly easy. Do not forget the insect repellant before going on the trails.

Loud people til almost 1am, couldn’t find a host anywhere and bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. Bloody toilet paper all over the floor and smelled like sewage.
