We absolutely love the Anthony Lakes camp ground. We weren't allowed to have a camp fire and it was very chilly up there, so we had to go home early this time. But it's always beautiful and we can't wait to go again.

The campsites were spacious and spaced out enough to have some sense of privacy. The area is beautiful. It was not crowded. Plenty of hiking opportunities from the campground or within minutes by car. Anthony Lake was beautiful and great for a kayak or raft and was very swimmable in middle August. Check out the Starbottle Saloon for a beer and pizza at the ski lodge near the lake, open on weekends!

The yurt was fun! DIdn't realize it had a wood stove and a kitchenette powered by propane (stove and lights). Super fun for when we come next in winter!!! Beds are very hard - we'll bring Thermarests next time for under the bedding. Lakes and hiking are AMAZING! I need to learn to fish :-)

The campsites are comfortably spaced with trees for privacy. Restrooms etc very clean. Each site has a carefully prepared tent spot - flat with sand and tie down hardware in perimeter. Great for tent campers. The lake is not a good swimming lake - too shallow with muddy bottom.

We've camped at Anthony Lakes the last two summers. Great fishing and beautiful scenery. Campsites are fairly big given the size of the campground. Just remember to bring lots of bug spray!
