Driftwood campground offers great access to the dunes and features friendly and helpful camp hosts, enhancing the overall experience for visitors. When we arrived at camp, we quickly discovered there was no water, shower, or bathrooms available. Additionally, camp host (Mike) neglected to inform our party that campground had been experiencing frequent theft activity and we lost $1500.00 in equipment our first night in camp (generator and fuel). He then proceeded to exhibit aggressive behavior to our party and guests throughout our stay. Disappointed to say the least.

The campground we were going to stay at was closed when we got there. This one was right down the road. It’s more like a parking lot than a campground but there are some grassy areas to hang out in. There weren’t many campers there so that was a big plus. It’s a great campground fr dunebuggy or atv riders as you can access the dunes right from the campground. I Probly wouldn’t pick this campground when it’s crowded, just a personal preference. There really isn’t anything wrong with it. The camp hosts were very friendly, but not intrusive. We were looking to buy some firewood, and while there wasn’t any for sale one of the hosts told me to come by and gave me a bunch.

The water was out so the tent campers were pretty disappointed.

I gave a poor review due to the broken down homeless trailer right next to our campsite. Not one to judge but definitely didnt feel comfortable leaving my wife and children at the campsite with that next door. When I talked to the host they said they couldn't do anything about it but to be extra careful with locking up valuables. Really makes you feel good when you pay the money for a campsite in the hopes for a peaceful weekend.

This place is great for access to the dunes. Bathrooms and showers are always clean, Mike is a awesome camp host. We have been twice this year, once in August and the other for Thanksgiving. The only draw back is the spaces are so close to each other. But I will still be coming back again and again.
