We love this campground. Great place to ride side-by-sides or quads, regardless of your skill level. Camp is clean, showers are hot, campers are friendly. Not far from town. Stars at night are beautiful.

Nice clean campsites. Only drawbacks i can say is the sites are small in a world of trailers getting bigger and bigger and the fact that the showers are 8am-2pm. Guess those are winter hours. Still though, clean campsite with no issues.

We stayed at Driftwood II in November 2023. We were the only people camped there, which was wonderful. I can imagine if you go during peak season, it would be a completely different experience and very busy. The bathrooms were not open during our stay and they do not have any services. However, we are fully sustainable in our toy hauler, so this was not an issue for us. From what I can tell, during peak season, they have two huge full bathrooms and showers. The site kind of looks like a parking lot... but you back into a nice grass area with pick-nick tables and fire pit, which we took advantage of. I do recommend coming in the off season for a quieter experience.
The dunes are incredible and a MUST SEE! Miles and miles of Dunes and gorgeous terrain to play on. I recommend if you are new to this type of terrain, you may want to look up some safety tips and the regulations for riding. Make sure you have a shovel and a winch. Especially if riding alone. This is very different terrain than what we are used to riding in Canada!
This campsite is very convenient for those in a toy hauler RV, because you can ride right from your campsite to the entrance to the dunes without having to load up your side by side into the trailer to a staging area.
Cell service is not great in the campsites... some text messages come through. But when you get out on the dunes, you get pockets of service in case you need to get messages out. I thought it was great, because then you get to really unplug!
It is a short drive to Florence, which is a cute little town with lots of shops, restaurants, bars and coffee shops should you need to hop on some Wi-Fi.
I gave this a 5-star review because of how beautiful it is here, the experience we had and the convenience of riding the sxs from our campsite. This is not for everyone for sure. If you require services, cell service and wifi, this may not be for you.
