Driftwood campground offers great access to the dunes and features friendly and helpful camp hosts, enhancing the overall experience for visitors. While the campground is popular and well-loved by many for its atmosphere and recreational opportunities, some reviews highlight concerns about maintenance, particularly regarding bathroom facilities and limited shower hours. Getting in and around with a big rig is very difficult.
Otherwise it is a great camp site and the host are great.

The site here has some of the best showers.. Silly thing to rate on I know but they matter! Theft here, as well as other sites on the coast have a real theft problem. Increased resources and patrols need to be seriously considered.

Sites are extremely tight. It's set up like a parking lot not slanted parking for easy backing in with a trailer.
Theft is huge! Camp host says to lock everything up. Generators are being stolen. Chain locks are being cut. Ice chests, gas cans, dog, or anything quick to be grabbed. It's happening daily!
We weren't able to camp, showed up and people were in our spots. They moved but we couldn't get in. Size was not what was advertised on the website.
We were able to get a refund, but not 100%.
Very disappointed and will never go again.

We enjoyed that the campground was close to beach access via our quads and side by sides. What was unfortunate is that the campground itself is so crime ridden that we will never go back. We had items stolen from our quads And items stolen from our camping areas, there is a maze of small trails that lead to the campground from the roadway. We believe the thieves have been using those well traveled trails to commit these crimes and unfortunately when speaking with other campers they had been well aware of items being stolen from campers in the area nightly. We had a large family reunion of at this campground, and the taint of criminal activity that everyone knows about, including the camp hosts and law enforcement goes unchecked. In addition the showers were closed when we got there because the token machine was broken and when the camp host advised that the soap dispensers are never filled due to theft, that was the last straw. It’s unfortunate this nice campground has such an apparent history of crime; we will never come back. We enjoyed the dunes and riding was fine.

Camp hosts are hospitable and awesome.
They run a tight and clean place. Everything worked well.
I wish the reservation system would cancel and free up no-show’s and charge a big cancellation fee. Lots of empty sites, but showing booked.

Nice park, was warned about a lot of theft that had been happening when I checked in but didn’t have anything stolen during my stay. Showers require tokens but token machine was broken until last day.

We've stayed here before and loved it. It has easy access to the dunes and we did purchase multiple sites to fit our vehicles and trailer. The only downside we had was the theft. Our friends had their gas cans stolen on night 1, then 2 nights later they had a cable cut and gas cans stolen again. Pretty much every night, someone from the campground had stolen items. I will not return until this problem has been taken care of. It was really unfortunate to have to pack away all of our propane, gas, etc. each time we left the campsite or went to bed.

Was not able to camp. The space was not as it said. Parking was a mess and we couldn't even get into our spot. We ended up leaving and didn't get a refund. Extremely disappointed.

The park was nice and it was great to ride right from our camp spot to the dunes. Friendly campers next to us.
Only negative is we had some items stolen from us one night. Pretty sad!
