Driftwood campground offers great access to the dunes and features friendly and helpful camp hosts, enhancing the overall experience for visitors. While the campground is popular and well-loved by many for its atmosphere and recreational opportunities, some reviews highlight concerns about maintenance, particularly regarding bathroom facilities and limited shower hours. First time camping here and it was beautiful and we definitely plan on coming back. My only disappointments were the set shower times and the lack of running water in the men's bathroom that was not next to the showers. After a full day of riding, the last thing we wanted to do was to climb into bed without having a shower. I would rather pay for my shower and take it when I wanted than to be limited by certain hours. The men's bathroom was completely unsanitary...my husband actually bought cleaners and cleaned what he could of it. Please do better.
The camp host for most of our stay was very friendly and very helpful. He made himself available to any of the camper when they needed him. Thank you so much for a pleasant vacation.

The spots are nice and convenient but the bathrooms need such much needed repairs and maintenance

Showers being opened from 8am - 2pm is much appreciated. Also appreciate them being much cleaner than years past.

This could be a great camp ground if they would let the camp hosts do there job. They have there hands tied behind there back most of the time. It's like the Forest Service wants to make the guests life as hard as they can. Shower times from 8am to 2pm. Most people I talked to would rather shower in the evening after a day in the sand. Water running, in the mens restroom, running 24 hours a day. Water in one restroom not working at all. Most things in disrepair. This is very sad to see at what could be a beautiful camp ground. The Forest Service needs to go up the road to Honeymans State park see how they are doing things.

Be warned: Showers are not available after 2pm. I don't recommend this campground.
Currently showers are only available in the morning.
After playing in the sand all day - you are forced to take that dirt and sand to bed with you Only being able to shower in the morning is a horrible idea. When I work in the office, we all take showers before work, and it makes sense.
But...and I want to stress. While camping, people want to feel refereshed at night before bed. And this availability has been taken away.

This is a spot for offroad driving fans only. The community is obviously enjoying to stay there. We booked without deeper research for camping with the family only. Therefor I would not recommend it. The host was super friendly. Restrooms clean.
