What Guests Are Saying
Driftwood campground offers great access to the dunes and features friendly and helpful camp hosts, enhancing the overall experience for visitors. While the campground is popular and well-loved by many for its atmosphere and recreational opportunities, some reviews highlight concerns about maintenance, particularly regarding bathroom facilities and limited shower hours. Despite these issues, many campers express a desire to return, appreciating the beautiful surroundings and the camaraderie found among fellow outdoor enthusiasts.

hosts were great, facilities adequate. High theft due to lack of support from police and forest service.

Overall happy with campground. There are numbered spots but the paint is so wiped out and missing, you have to just kind of guess where you're supposed to be. The campground was mostly empty so it was no problem but I can see problems if it's really crowded. Also, the bathrooms could use some maintenance. One of the toilets in the women's leaked continually and the massive amounts of caulk around the countertops look like it was applied by a kindergartener. It's good to keep costs down but this can be done without looking so junky.
As far as the dunes, riding was great. They might consider putting one-way signs on the trails that run parallel to the ocean that are only one vehicle wide. As I said, it wasn't crowded at all when we were there, but I can foresee lots of accident if people are going both ways and especially if they are going fast.

Showers never seem to be open anymore, only half of the toilets at this campground ever work and the camp hosts need to be replaced.
