What Guests Are Saying
Driftwood campground offers great access to the dunes and features friendly and helpful camp hosts, enhancing the overall experience for visitors. While the campground is popular and well-loved by many for its atmosphere and recreational opportunities, some reviews highlight concerns about maintenance, particularly regarding bathroom facilities and limited shower hours. Despite these issues, many campers express a desire to return, appreciating the beautiful surroundings and the camaraderie found among fellow outdoor enthusiasts.

We love the direct access to the Oregon Dunes northern riding area. We also love that we can park our trailer how we want within our groups sites. The sites we stayed in (3,4,5,7,and 9) are spacious and have a nice place for the kids to play behind our trailers. The camp host were fantastic and very helpful.

We love coming here to camp and ride our quads. The BIGGEST issue we have is that the hours of operation for the showers has completely changed. It use to be open in the morning and the evening. After a day of riding we enjoy being able to take showers and clean up. The fact that the showers are only open in the morning now has made our experience less then desirable. It’s rather frustrating actually. No one wants to go to bed with sand everywhere and not be able to clean up after the day. I really hope they change the hours of operation for the shower. I also noticed that the bathrooms are not as well kept as they use to be. It seemed that they would go days without being actually cleaned up, same with the showers. I hope changes are made sooner rather then later.

We had an excellent time at Driftwood and the caretakers were extremely friendly and helpful. We come to the campground 3 to 4 times a year and also enjoy our stay! Highly recommend

Our stay this time was …… just ok, compared to previous stays. Bathrooms were dirty and i don't believe they cleaned them at all during our whole stay. Showers were filthier than the bathrooms. Having to clear the drains so the water could go down was disgusting. Then there was the host on the motorized wheel chair that was videoing riders going out and coming in from the dunes- creepy!! I don’t think they acted like camp hosts at all, other than loudly giving people a hard time as they arrived. On top of all that their dog was NOT leashed.

Great place! Other campers were pretty respectful, quiet at night, pet friendly, easy dune and beach access. Only complaint was showers closed at 2pm, which is pretty crazy. We like to take showers before bed and closing them at 2pm was not helpful at all.

Basic site, paved parking lot with table and campfire pit.Worst fire pit I have ever seen .Its like a fire in a barrel. You need to burn so much wood to get any heat out it , Its 'merica I guess burn 10 times amount of wood just to keep everyone safe?We did like the camp host though driving around in his electric chair ,fun guy!
