Nice location with easy access to Oregon Dunes via a short trail from the campground. They did not have water service in September 2021. There was water across the road at the state park, so I don't know what the problem was. No indication of when it will be back up. So there were only port-a-potties offered as service. Not sure if the regular bathrooms have showers when there is water. There are probably better places to camp and enjoy the dunes.

The campground is very nice in the lay out and space between sites. It has lots of vegetation to provide shade and privacy. The sand dunes are closer than they appear (or don't). Have fun with that. BUT-there was no water in the campground. There was no advanced warning about there being no water at the campground, so we had to go to some lengths to get water after we got there. That also meant the bathroom were closed and we were relegated to port-a-potties during a pandemic! Also, our picnic table (site#16) was missing about half of it--apparently consumed by bigfoot, as it wasn't a tidy job. Eel Creek Campground does not deserve such poor treatment.

Water shut down due to leak. Scheduling conflicts resulted in someone moving into our spot ahead of our stay and checking out late the next day. Not terribly well managed.

Beautiful, quiet campground with flush toilets. Sites are large - many well separated by high salal and huckleberries. Easy walk to the Dellenbach dune trail and only a mile drive to Eel Lake for kayaking or fishing.

The picnic table was broken in several places and missing one bench. There was some trash around the site. The men's bathroom was closed/locked for the first day and a half.

Nice private sites. Call before you go to make sure they have running water because they won’t tell you if it suddenly stops

Incredible campsite among the dunes. You can walk directly out from the campsite onto the John Dellenback trail and enjoy the majesty of the sand dunes

This campground is located in close proximity to multiple lakes and wetlands. Due to this, there can be an abundance of mosquitoes between the months of April and August. Please be prepared for this. |
