What Guests Are Saying
Lepage Park offers a pleasant camping experience with well-maintained facilities, friendly staff, and scenic views along the river. While some guests noted issues like gravel sites instead of grass and occasional water outages, the overall cleanliness and safety of the park were appreciated. It's a convenient stop for travelers, although nearby noise from traffic and trains can be a minor drawback.

Lots of highway noise day and night. And we picked a very very hot night to stay there (we have no A/C). Otherwise the campground is very nicely situated on the John Day River right before it goes into the Columbia. Scenery is gorgeous and good wildlife viewing. Very handy off the interstate.

This is a good park close to the Columbia River, John Day Dam, and the Maryhill Museum. It sits at near the mouth of the John Day river where it enters the Columbia. It’s well run and clean. As the campground has pit toilets, the only place to shower is in the day use area bathroom. The showers were not clean, and the doors were propped open, so there was no privacy. We chose not to use them.

The park has gone downhill during the past few years. Case in point, the restrooms used to be spotless; now they need a freshening up and a good cleaning.
