Be aware that the wood stove is not able to heat the yurt enough to make it comfortable when it's snowing out side.
You can fit approximately two 4x4x14 logs diagonal into the stove maximum which lasts about 2.5 hours. Lake was lovely and setting is tranquil.

Be warned this yurt is very old and you may be visited by mice when it gets cold and you have the wood stove going. Please work on refreshing these yurts. It's otherwise a nice location. Cell reception barely usable outside the yurt, but not usable inside.

Fantastic winter getaway that is so close to Hoodoo, Santiam Pass and it is right by the Suttle Lake Lodge and Resort (easy walk around the lake for cocktails and food).
The yurt was just as expected/described but I would recommend bringing way more firewood than you would expect. The site indicates that you can buy wood from the camp host but there was no camp host or place to buy wood when I was there (I suspect they should update the site to indicate there is no wood available in the winter) and the closest place to get some is Sisters. I stayed for 3 nights and was out during much of the day and went through 9 bundles of wood. The wood fired stove is small so it's hard to get it to build a good fire that will keep going and you will need to wake up every 2-3 hours throughout the night to add wood and stoke the fire or you will wake up cold as it loses heat pretty quickly.
The bathrooms were clean, close to the yurts and had toilet paper!!

You need to bring your own firewood as there is none for sale on site or close by. It is a roughly 14 inch deep woodstove so don't bother bringing 16 inch it will not fit properly. The place is beautiful and the trail around the lake is a must. Definetly will go back. This is not for glampers go to a deluxe yurt somewhere else for that😊

The yurt and campground were lovely, clean, and quiet on a November weekend. The one downside is that the wood stove is quite small, not the larger ones I'm used to seeing. It was difficult to make a fire big enough to maintain itself for long, and we had to tend the fire ever 60-90 minutes all night to stay warm enough. Fun, but definitely a lot of work!

Excellent experience renting a yurt. Beautiful setting, lovely trail around Suttle Lake right from the campground. Will be back!

Link Creek is a beautiful, clean campground. The site we camped in was 29, which is a pull-through site with yurt 31 directly behind it. The camp host is also close by and is helpful. There is some noise from Highway 20, as it runs parallel to the lake on the pass, so be aware of that if you are sensitive to highway noise. While the lake cannot be seen well from site 29, it only takes about 2-minutes to walk there from site 29 and the lake is beautiful. There is also a walking trail around the lake. We camped at Link Creek the last week is was open for the season and the water had been turned off by that point, so be aware that if you are camping during the last week the campground is open that you may need to carry extra water. This site is a fairly level site.

Link Creek is to close to Highway 20! Too loud from traffic, especially truck noise. I will not stay there another time.
