This is a lovely lake and it's wonderful for kayaking and hiking around. The campground was great but really, what's with the stinky bathrooms and flies. These are Clivis toilets and if you empty them when you should, they will not smell. Some people leave the doors closed and the stench is overwhelming. Some people leave the doors open when not in use, and it helps. The camp host at South Shore is a total joke. I knocked on the door and he opened it 2 inches (seriously) and was not helpful. If he's afraid of Covid, then put on a mask and post a sign that says, "stand 6 feet away". Or get someone with a personality and will actually promote the campground. He was not helpful and he gave the campground a creepy vibe.

We had moderately smoky conditions due to the Oregon wildfires in process, but still better air quality than in Bend. The campground had LOTS of unoccupied spaces due to people not showing up because of the smoke. Overall it's a very nice campground especially the sites that have lake views.

The site was close to the water, plenty of space between camp sites, and the view was spectacular!
