We had a great visit to South Shore campground. Walking around the lake was beautiful. If the conditions are right, paddleboarding is enjoyable and bicycling the forest roads was fun! Upgrading the bathrooms would be great but I know there are money considerations.

This is an awesome campsite, lake side view but up away from the walking path so a bit more private. Water is right across the street as well as bathroom. Facilities were clean. Only negative I’ll include is you can definitely hear the noise of the vehicles from the hwy across the lake-don’t really notice it until bedtime though. We will definitely be back!

I'd like to say thank you to the amazing camp hosts that tried to fix our issue with a very upset man in the camp next to us.
He couldn't get his trailer in the spot and started cussing at everyone, including the 4 cars he was blocking from getting into the campground bc he was in camp spot #1.
Unfortunately after finally screaming at his wife and himself he pulled his truck forward blocking our camp #2.
The rest of the people drove around him, but we had to ask this irrational individual to now plz move so we could set up our camp.
He started throwing F bombs at us making the thought of camping next to him unimaginable.
The hosts had heard the man cussing so they were very sympathetic and tried to find us another site away from that individual.
No fault of theirs, but we were tired from desert trip to Polka-dot mine and took it as a sign to drive the 2 hours home instead of staying in the camp they found for us that they were going to discount.
Bless both your kind hearts for doing your best to help us. We very much appreciated your understanding and everything you did to try and fix the situation. I wish the best to you both and thank you again!!

Site # 9 should be designated as walk in only, it’s on the side of a steep hill, there are trees on either side, and it’s curved, like a smile on a hillside. It’s listed as a pull through site for RVs up to 35’ not to mention it’s a lakeside site so it’s going to be popular. With no photo of the site it’s going to be a constant problem where people like myself book and arrive to find out you couldn’t fit a sprinter there or even level a car to sleep in, it would be impossible. Total fiasco and waste of time. If you make everyone use this site and pay extra money it’s your job to photograph every site and provide accurate information. Otherwise let’s go back to the old ways, it’s camping, not a hotel.
