What Guests Are Saying
Dewdrop Campground offers a beautiful, well-maintained natural setting with spacious, private sites and excellent access to water activities. The staff is consistently friendly and helpful, enhancing the overall experience. While some facilities, particularly the restrooms, could use updates, the peaceful atmosphere and scenic views make it a favored destination for many campers.

The Gypsy moth caterpillars were terrible. Their droppings made it sound like it was raining at times. Combined with actual rain - they made an ugly mess on our camping supplies. Add to that the black flies. It was the worst I've seen there in years. Sprays don't work well. Constantly battling them when out in the boat too!
They need to spray to control both pests. The lake itself is still beautiful. We enjoyed cruising along the shorelines (the flies weren't bad when we were moving). The flies are gone by night so you can relax around the campfire.

I reserved site 10 at Dewdrop, which includes a premium reservation fee for having “water access.” Unfortunately, piles of cut trees had been thrown in the water by the site and we had to water access for our boat. Don’t reserve this site if you’re expecting water access.

Dewdrop is a beautiful campsite right on the reservoir. While there are no "beaches" as the website says, there are plenty of places to get in the water and swim. There's lots of boats, but the buoys help keep swimmers out of the boating path. The water is pretty clean - we saw lots of tadpoles and some ducks, as well as one non-poisonous water snake, so beware of those!
The campsites are generally easy to get in and out of, very clean, and the staff is very friendly - willing to help you with everything from a map to your location to ice and firewood available for purchase. The shared spaces - showers, bathrooms - are very clean.
There are plenty of hiking paths nearby, and Jake's Rocks mountain biking/hiking paths are within a couple of miles of Dewdrop and GREAT. If you are a mountain biker, you will love this spot.
My only complaint is the infestation of caterpillars! While mostly harmless, they are an invasive species and they are EVERYWHERE. Come prepared to flick some off your clothes, equipment, etc.
As it is in the Allegheny National Forest, there is no reception or internet, you'll have to drive into Warren or another nearby town for that! Be prepared to unplug and relax! Have fun!
