The campground is clean and well-patrolled by Rangers who are friendly and are there until midnight. Restrooms were kept relatively clean, but bring your own paper towels and toilet paper; they have no paper towels and the toilet paper was regularly expended by 3pm every day. Men's shower house in the Pines had cold water most of the time. Garbage trucks were emptying dumpsters early in the morning while quiet hours were still in effect. Be attentive whenever out on the water as the PA Watercraft Officers particularly like to stop jet skis for no-wake violations, yet create wakes themselves chasing them down. There are playgrounds for the kids, but one near the Ranger's station is currently under renovation. It is still a great campground with friendly people and plenty of access to the lake for water activities or socializing with current or new friends.

We have been going here for 25 plus years we love it here. Would like more electric sites. Our previous trip here in July the campground host seemed to be on a power trip. She started a fight about parking in the grass so we had to park 2 vehicles in the very small driveway on this site and my husband was in jagger bushes every time he got out because so tight. When we went this time in august a truck was parked in the grass on same site the entire time and people were on other sites too. But this is just one bad experience we have had many many good ones.

It is a wonderful place to relax. Nice people, beautiful landscapes. The campground is great. You have to load your water before you go to your site and no sewage but the restrooms are clean and showers are hot. You are close to all the restaurants and shopping if the weather is rainy or too hot. The only problem we face is that it is hard to find a good site but when you go the reserved sites are not used.
