Much better than last year. If there was another year like last year I will never come back. They canceled my reservation days before we were to arrive. We we t to the other side that was open and it was the worst camping experience we have ever had. Portable toilets a d feema shower trailers and you couldn't swim in the mucky lake. They should have told us way Earlier than 3 days before. Bad business.
This year was much better and we had so much fun

You have massive quantities of poison ivy on all lake boarders. My 11 year old son got such a massive , swollen rash on his face while we were there that we took him to Dr. for a cortisone shot. If that wasn't enough, 2 days later, he started developing blisters all over his body. Where do I send the bill? He is still suffering from that over a week later. And yes, we did show him and tell him to try to avoid it. Get rid of the Poison Ivy! Its in the trees its encroaching into grass in sites and it is thick between lake and sites.
The site number posts on opposite side of road from your site are in the way when backing trailer in to spots. Very frustrating.
No soap at sinks or any way to dry hands in bathrooms. Why? No Trash cans in restrooms. Why? You do know that your encouraging the females to flush sanitary napkins and who knows what the guys are flushing. Trash cans are everywhere else in the world for a reason. Do people lose common sense when they hire on to the government? Seriously, who make these decisions?
On the good side, clean bathrooms and nice lake sites. Did I say get rid of the poison ivy?

The campground is clean and well-patrolled by Rangers who are friendly and are there until midnight. Restrooms were kept relatively clean, but bring your own paper towels and toilet paper; they have no paper towels and the toilet paper was regularly expended by 3pm every day. Men's shower house in the Pines had cold water most of the time. Garbage trucks were emptying dumpsters early in the morning while quiet hours were still in effect. Be attentive whenever out on the water as the PA Watercraft Officers particularly like to stop jet skis for no-wake violations, yet create wakes themselves chasing them down. There are playgrounds for the kids, but one near the Ranger's station is currently under renovation. It is still a great campground with friendly people and plenty of access to the lake for water activities or socializing with current or new friends.
