Always a good time staying here. Every site has plenty of room and black topped. Great Kayaking on this large lake.

Very nice site. Wide, clean and very quiet. Would have no problem going there again and have recommended to other campers in my family.

We have stayed at Tompkins a few times now, and always have a great time. One of the best designed campgounds we have been to.
This last visit our son stayed in a different site, (tent site) and joined us for meals. Nice to spend time with family and such a great environment. Sitting by the campfire and watching the water,
We will book for next year again.

Fantastic views throughout much of the camp, and many sites were shaded. Lots of shoreline for fishing, a swimming beach and a nature trails as well. Also if you're a boater, you have a free boat slip available on a first come basis.
The camp hosts were all very helpful and friendly. Make sure you look for the eagles and osprey. Just 45 minutes to the Pine Gorge Grand Canyon of the east. Our AT&T cell coverage was spotty, with our signal magically going from 4 bars to no service. Definitely coming back here again. We stayed in a 5th wheel.

I was very impressed with the location, I would love to have better cell/internet service. As I am alone I have a greater need to communicate with my home.

The campsite was really pretty right next to the lake. Be prepared for a somewhat unpleasant hike in and pack light as it is rocky and there are a couple fairly steep hills to navigate if you have heavy things. We will definitely be going back there.

The park is great—quiet and well maintained. Our particular site was a narrow fit for the camper (#7), but the area behind it was flat and a nicer area to gather.

Bathrooms not clean at all.
Another boat parked in our saved slip and when it was reported nothing was done.
We always follow rules,it’s too bad when those who don’t have no consequences.

We have always lived staying at Cowanesque Lake.. this year we had problems with our RV and were unable to contact anyone to cancel or modify our reservation… no answer at the campground, no answer at Recreation.gov 800 # and unable to modify on the website.. we did visit the campsite one day.. the bath houses were filthy and there was NO One at the gate/welcome gatehouse. It is so sad to see this beautiful campground in such a terrible state…
