We stayed over the weekend for a family reunion. We were very happy with the facilities. We had the 30A breaker fail at the site and the maintenance crew replaced it within an hour! Excellent response. We look forward to staying here again!

Always a nice campground to go to. Always have something for kiddos to do. Very glad they opened back up.

We like this campground but hate the fact that we cannot get internet service from this location. There are so many things we check every day like the local newspaper, the weather and the sports results on our iPads. Can’t do at Tompkins!

We stayed at this campground for 6 nights. We chose our site for its location to the bathhouse. Unfortunately the campground map does not have topo lines to determine that it is way down hill and though it was behind our site we had to drive around the campground and park in its lot each time we showered. The bathhouses are clean but could use a little updating.
We stayed in site 27 Knoll which is level and somewhat shaded. We had full hookup.
Forget internet - not even a speck (Verizon). Also Apple Maps will take you to this narrow, dead in street in Larencewille when you enter Tompkins Campground in your search map. Coming from the south on the interstate, when you exit the interstate traveling to Larewnceville, Apple Maps will tell you to go straight through the traffic light. Turn LEFT at the traffic light and travel a little ways north until Bliss Rd is on your left. Turn on Bliss Rd and you will arrive at Tompkins (Cowanesque) campground.
Bring mosquito repellant!

It was an ok experience until the rangers came by and kicked out the whole section I was camped in because they said the section would be under water. We then had to find another place to camp for our remaining time.

Overall, the experience was good however with the flooding that we had received that day, we were unable to stay at Ives run so we booked a spot at Tompkins Campground when I spoke to a ranger they said that they were going to automatically refund our reservation at I’ve run but I have yet to hear from anybody or see a refund posted to the account so overall everything was great, except for they did not follow through with the refund of the Ives run booking.

Nice campground, some sites nice and large some smaller, nice paved lake view sites! Grass was a little unkept, but overall nice experience, nice and quiet, definitely would go again….
