We love to camp at Tompkins on Cowanesque Lake. The sights are spacious and a few provide great views of the lake. There are two loops that offer FHU sites and a third loop with water and electric. It's a great lake for kayaking, canoeing and boating. I love to walk on the roads and trails! My only caveat is, some cell service is limited here, but if you are camping to escape this digital world, you are all set!
Stop at Tompkins Twist, an ice cream shop, just east of the park entrance. It is delicious!

Very poor cell phone reception and no local TV channels. I didn't need either, so not an issue for me. Was close to the boat dock, so could watch the action. Rest rooms and campground were very clean. Not the first time we've been here, so we knew what was going on.

Very clean , quiet campground. Had water and electric. Camp sites were a little closer than I prefer. Tight fit getting my pickup parked on site. No room for two vehicles, few overflow parking close by. It could use another trail or two.

We love it here! The campground is clean, the sites are large and spaced nicely. The playgrounds are great, and the lake is beautiful. We highly recommend this campground and can't wait for our next trip here!

Loved the area. Great lake for kayaking. We enjoyed visiting the PA Grand Canyon and going on the Ole Covered Wagon.
