About Ebenezer Park

Ebenezer Park features some of the most beautiful horseback riding trails in southeast Texas. It's the only Army Corps of Engineers park on Sam Rayburn Reservoir with equestrian campsites, making it the go-to destination for horse-owners. The horse trail terrain is soft and sandy, so horseshoes are not required. Trails glide over rolling hills through creeks and gullies. Some trails even have beach access, allowing riders and their horses to cool off on a hot day. Note: The horse access beach and majority of the trail system are located on USFS property.

This is a very small campground. I noticed corals for horses. Other sites are for tents and are on a slope to the lake. The ground was not level and I would not bring small children or handicapped. I was the only camper at the tent area. Sleeping in vehicles is not allowed, but they made an exception for my campervan and asked that I move to another site. I did not see the beach as it was closed. This is a very safe campground and a great place to bring your horse. I spent one night and was visited by the camp host 4 times.

Really enjoyed my stay at Ebenezer. Camping in my horse trailer was easy peasy especially parking so close to the restrooms which were very clean. Shower was also clean but hot. Campsites are humongous! Horse pens very nice this time. Spacious and dry. Enjoyed the trail riding very much. Can't wait to go back!

Great place to camp and ride your horses. Very clean park and campsites. Camp hosts are very helpful and welcome everyone in. Some trails can be more challenging than others but it’s sandy and in tall pines trees to ride in.

Ebenezer is a treasure. Such a good set-up for both two- and four-legged campers.. Most of the pens were in relatively good shape, despite recent rains.
