What Guests Are Saying
Sheridan Lake offers great tent and RV camping with spacious, shaded sites and a beautiful lakeside location, perfect for families and outdoor enthusiasts. The clean facilities and friendly hosts enhance the overall experience, despite some concerns about limited infrastructure and cellular service. While some campers noted noise from generators and construction, many found the setting peaceful and enjoyable, making it a desirable spot for future visits.

Camp hosts were kind and informative. Campground rules were enforced and everything went smooth! I'm local and I always look forward to the next trip to this lake. As a campground insurance specialist and member of the South Dakota Campground Owners Association Board of Directors, I cannot turn those professional aspects of my life on and off, so I notice the risk management and such almost everywhere I go. Specifically campgrounds. This State ran location does a great job! I was very impressed!

Not sure what's going on with the National Forests/Parks lately, but they need to do something about sites being reserved and unoccupied.

We picked a spot in the "Rocky" loop, with beautiful views of the lake. The sites aren't very private, but they're very spacious. Very quiet at night.

Camped so close to shore, it was beautiful as always. Love it here!

This is a very nice campground above a beautiful Black Hills Lake with the Sluice
Trail just a short drive away. We’ve stayed here a few times and always enjoyed it.

This campsite was fairly sunny in the middle of the day and afternoon. It’s also a bit on a slope so there wasn’t a great place for the tent. The site is in between 2 roads so the vehicle noise was doubled. The campground it’s self was clean and quiet, we will definitely be back.

This is a beautiful campground in the heart of the Black Hills. Every spot has plenty of tree cover, spaced perfectly for hammocks, and lots of ground to spread out around the fire pit and picnic table. The pit toilets were well kept and the firewood was very affordable. We didn't get to spend any time at the lake this trip but it looked wonderful.
