What Guests Are Saying
Sheridan Lake offers great tent and RV camping with spacious, shaded sites and a beautiful lakeside location, perfect for families and outdoor enthusiasts. The clean facilities and friendly hosts enhance the overall experience, despite some concerns about limited infrastructure and cellular service. While some campers noted noise from generators and construction, many found the setting peaceful and enjoyable, making it a desirable spot for future visits.

We were right next to one of the camp hosts she was amazing! The atmosphere and the park were so wonderful and clean. The bathrooms could have used a little more touching up but it's a camp site and the Camp hosts work really hard.

We stayed here after visiting Mt. Rushmore. We arrived after dark and the campground and our site were easy to find. We awoke to a beautiful view of the lake in a spacious site with lots of trees. A very enjoyable stay.

Nice camp site. Well managed. People didn’t run generators all night. Sites were just spread out enough.

This is the 3rd year in a row we have stayed at Sheridan Lake campground. Always a wonderful experience! Clean, quiet, and beautiful. Lots of campsites, but everything is so spread out, that you don't feel like you are on top of other campers. Great access to swimming and fishing. Only a half hour from Rapid City.

Campsites are spread out with privacy.
Only stayed 1 night….. the Lake looked awesome…
ATT cell service did not exist….but that’s not necessarily a bad thing😊

Great camping with lake access. We had site 69 with our pop-up camper. It has to be one of the best sites in the campground. Nobody on either side of your for 100 yards, and a lakefront campground with direct access to the lake via a gentle slope. Overall, a great trip.

We brought a 5th wheel and kayaks for our stay. We could take the boats right down to the water from our spot. Fishing was good, too. The campground is very nice and we had a wonderful view of the lake, which was great at the end of the day around the campfire. Very quiet and private. The bathrooms were incredibly clean.
