We had a nice grass tent site with great views of the Badlands. The bench seat/table and shade were a great addition. We have mixed reviews regarding the coin operated showers. The males had nice hot water every day yet the female showers were always cold. We reported this to caretaker who said he would report it for maintenance despite both hot water systems being quite new. We can’t explain it but that was the only downside.

We had a great stay at the CCC campground - we found a spot, leveled and was able to just enjoy the quiet for 2 days.

We stayed in site # 10 (Agate) and # 81 (Butte) for one night each. It is a nice campground with good restroom and shower facilities. The sites are close together with limited privacy, as is to be expected based on the Badlands terrain. But it worked well for us in our Class B van. There is a picnic table on each site with a wooden screen to give shade from the sun. We enjoyed our time there! Verizon signal was reasonable at our sites. The campsite is very close to the visitor center (which has excellent fossil and geology exhibits) and you can walk or bike to some of the closer scenic overlooks.

The badlands are a wide open expanse with great views of the "wall". The campground provided the basic amenaties including a picnic table shelter. My site didn't have electricity so arriving in late September was acceptable with the heat. The dump station was clean but a bit hard to find. I enjoyed camping there.

We enjoyed our stay but wasn’t aware that to see much wildlife you would need to hike a good bit. My wife has copd so we’re pretty much limited to riding and looking. Still had a good trip!

The site was well maintained and the bathrooms were well kept. The views are amazing at any campsite.
