Cottonwood Campground is consistently praised for its beautiful scenery, cleanliness, and friendly atmosphere. Recent upgrades, such as concrete pads and improved facilities, have enhanced the camping experience, along with the quiet surroundings and ample shade. While some visitors noted minor concerns like the lack of full hookups and the need for trimming trees, overall, campers enjoyed their stays and appreciated the well-kept amenities and peaceful environment.

The campground is beautiful with mature trees, lots of benches around the lake, clean bathrooms and a great bike trail around the lake. Only suggestion I have is that the paved parking pads be cleaned up with a blower. Heavy rains left a dirt/dust residue on the pad and along with tree residue, had a lot of dirt track inside.

It's a very nice campground. Beautiful scenery, clean facilities. I wish it had water & sewer hookup too. There's only electrical hookup for campers & RVs.

We only stayed one night on our way to Sioux Falls, and our stay was pleasant, peaceful and if we could, we would have stayed longer. The campground was clean, the restrooms also, and the roads and campground sites were all easy to navigate.
