What Guests Are Saying
Lock A campground is highly praised for its cleanliness, well-maintained facilities, and friendly staff, making it a favorite among visitors. The spacious campsites, beautiful views of the Cumberland River, and opportunities for biking and relaxing are significant highlights. While some facilities, like the bathrooms, are noted as outdated and in need of upgrades, the overall experience is positive, with many guests eager to return.

Club Med of Ace campgrounds, though a bit dated, spotlessly maintained. Garbage cans at every site, with a crew who, empties garbage cans, and cleans leaves and debris off unused sites daily. Has big playground for kids, with bench swing chairs for mom and dad. a well-manicured sand volleyball court next to playground. an older, but fenced basketball court (can set up 2 pickle ball courts in it). A small boat launch in campground with fish cleaning station and ample parking for camper's boat trailers. (this launch is a bit small). however,. 1/2 miles up from campground in the day use area is a huge boat launch (park property) that will put in the biggest of Bass boats. No marina or piers to say, just a small tie off, so you really can't leave your boat in the water, but campground has 2 shallow tie offs, although not Shure how deep. Day use area has large beach and plenty of individual use areas along river, with a couple of larger pavilions with parking. Not far from Nashville, (1 hour) and plenty to hike and see in local area, entrance to a wide trail that runs along river to Ashland city, a few miles to the south. All and all a great campground, day use area, a little off the beaten path, but well worth the effort to visit. It is on my list of stay again campgrounds.

Great place to stay and relax. Plenty of shade combined with wind off of the river makes it comfortable even when temps are high. Park attendant one of the nicest we have every been around at a COE campground.

Had a great couple nights tent camping on my favorite site, but the second night there blew in late afternoon a wicked windshear that took down my tent and the four next to it on the lake's edge. I watched it from my car, where I had taken refuge from the powerful downpour. It was quite a memory, haha. I ended up clearing the campsite into my car and sleeping in it then taking off early the next day. But all in all it was quiet, peaceful, and a great little trip. I'll be back.

Would be good if there was more than 1 camp host so someone is on duty every day.
