A bit of a drive but rewarded with a nice, clean campground. Barge traffic is interesting to see going up and down the river. It is a long waterway road from the campground to the lock that will enable bike riding or walking for miles. Some walking trails around the area which will give a birds eye view of the river. It gets busy on the weekends so make reservations early. Less than an hour drive from Nashville.

The shower house needs attention this is the second season there’s no hot water in the women’s shower, it’s absolutely filthy we come home because we live close but It’s terrible to pay money and be traveling with 3rd world facilities

My time at Lock A site 4 was excellent. The weather and fall colors were perfect. The site was clean and staff very friendly. A little walk to the restroom for those of us camping in trailer without a facility. Hiking routes were well marked and groomed. Many fishing spots. Will visit again.
