Lock A campground is highly praised for its cleanliness, well-maintained facilities, and friendly staff, making it a favorite among visitors. The spacious campsites, beautiful views of the Cumberland River, and opportunities for biking and relaxing are significant highlights. Avoid site 33. Has a tree that blooms that drop everywhere and it’s full of bees.

Really happy I found this place. The view from just off the river is beautiful at night, and the amenities were great too. The only issues were that my site didn't have a tent pad, it was just concrete, so we had to set up in the grass, which was no big deal. Additionally, there is a pretty bright street light in the parking lot that shines into your tent all night, but everything else about the site and campground is great.

The lady in charge was so very helpful and nice, she patrolled the area and kept everything and everyone peaceful. What a joy it was to camp at lock A in Cheatham County, TN.

It was a good trip for the most part. There were snakes at the dock, one in the park and even saw one at the pavilion and no one we told did anything about it. I know it is outdoors and there is probably not much that can be done to keep them out but this was the first time we have seen snakes there and the one in the park was close to the playground.
Also there was a mix-up in our reservation because I added an extra day at the beginning it took off the last day I had reserved and people showed up and we had to basically just throw our stuff in the truck and trailer and leave. I asked about it and was told it is a glitch in the online system and there were three other people who had an issue with the days reserved on the website.

Beautiful there. Only thing that could have been better was our spot# 38 needed gravel badly. It rained a lot and we had very muddy ground when we stepped outside. We had to put mats out. We will be back though.

The campsite was clean and the camp host Cheryl was very friendly! The bath house was not very clean. The shower curtains were missing. All dirt and debris is blown with a blower into corners causing black spots and mold in stalls and showers. They need bleached and pressure washed bad…

We discovered that there is a trail that leads to the Cumberland River Bicentennial Trail and it’s a must do. The campground is awesome, very quiet and large campsites. Cheryl, the host is very knowledgeable and very, very helpful. Cheryl is an asset to the campground. The shower house was very clean but could use some updating. Trash are provided at each campsite and are emptied every other day. We can’t wait for our next visit!

Great place to camp right on the Cumberland river nice large concrete pads. However, no shower curtains in the men’s bathroom and the exhaust fan stayed on continually.
